🥰Good news, the bushfire in the eastern parts of the Fitzgerald River National Park has now been extinguished thanks to the amazing work of all the Firies and we've been advised that the Park is scheduled to be opened late Monday, 4th December. Hamersley Inlet Campground will be available to book from tomorrow, Tuesday, 5th December.

A Bushfire Advice is in place for the eastern parts of the Fitzgerald River National Park in the Shire of Ravensthorpe. As a result this section of the National Park is currently closed including all campgrounds and day-use areas off Hamersley Drive.

If you are seeking to book a campsite over the summer school holidays in the Fitzgerald Biosphere Coast you'll need to hurray as vacancies are starting to fill. Online Bookings Only for Starvation Bay, Mason Bay or Hamersley Inlet Campgrounds.

Visitors asked to avoid Springdale Road if travelling from Esperance to Hopetoun to avoid lengthy detours. Main Roads WA has advised that construction work for a new concrete bridge on Springdale Road over Jerdacuttup River (near Hopetoun) will commence on Tuesday, 6 June 2023 and expected to be completed March 2024.

South Coast Highway between West River Road and Newdegate Ravensthorpe Road in now open with a 60km/hr speed restriction.
