Southern Scribes are a writers group based in Hopetoun. On a good day they number ten, meeting once a month to hone their skills, discuss others’ writings and laugh a lot! They have self published several books ranging from poetry, prose and a novella. The group began in 1999 when they published a social history of the district and they continue to inspire, support and encourage good writing.
