MEET YOUR PRESENTERS

Carol Pettersen was born at Gnowangerup Mission and raised in the bush at Jerramungup in a family of seventeen, and has spent most of her life on her traditional ‘country’ of Albany. She has long been involved in Indigenous Affairs and been appointed to many federal and state government advisory bodies, in addition to be awarded National NAIDOC Female Elder of the Year in 2008.

David Guilfoyle is an Australian - US archeologist with a MA in Archeology and Heritage - committed to applied, collaborative approaches in heritage management that upholds customary protocols and supports local community's goals and structures. His work has been guided and developed by the Wadandi, Bibbulmun, Menang, Goreng, Wudjari (Nookgurring, Tjultjaraak and Bardok) people of the South-West.

 Nat Cordon is a well-known community educator, language teacher, and cultural advocate. She is highly active in regional community initiatives, particularly regarding Aboriginal culture and environmental projects with the Shire of Ravensthorpe.
