Uncle Peter Salmon is a Senior Thiinma Elder, stockman, and award-winning songwriter from Western Australia's Upper Gascoyne region. He is famously recognised as the last living native speaker of the critically endangered Thiinma language, working to preserve his ancestral tongue through storytelling and contemporary music.
