AMANDA SHADE

Amanda has had over 30 years in the horticulture industry, nursery and conservation industry – 28 of these have been at Kings Park and Botanic Garden, where she is currently the Manager of Living Collections, a role that aligns very strongly with her passion for WA flora.

Her role includes managing the Kings Park production nursery, herbarium and seed collection programs, with oversight into planning for the WA Botanic Garden thematic collections, which displays WA’s diverse flora from all over the state. Amanda is currently working with her dedicated teams to develop collection strategies in line with current environmental, cultural and biosecurity considerations. She also coordinates the Kings Park horticultural trainee program and is committed to developing high-quality training opportunities for future horticulturists and conversationists.

Sabrina is an award-winning gardener, podcaster, author and much-loved ABC gardening presenter. For more than 30 years, she has been sharing her knowledge and practical advice on air, inspiring audiences across WA. Renowned for her boundless horticulture expertise and engaging style, Sabrina has a unique ability to connect with gardeners of all ages, building their confidence and encouraging them to get their hands in the soil. A passionate advocate for conservation and ecological sustainability, she generously shares her knowledge to help others garden with care for the environment.

A SPECIAL CONGRATULATIONS TO ENID TINK, OAM

Enid was recently awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia, recognizing her lifelong contribution. A humble, kind woman, she is regarded as an icon of the Ravensthorpe Wildflower Show. Since the Regional Herbarium’s inception, she has been a prolific collector, contributing valuable knowledge and specimens. Deeply community-minded, she is also a founding member of the Wildflower Show, continuing the legacy begun by her father, Jim McCulloch, in 1982. Her dedication, passion and quiet leadership have left a lasting mark on Ravensthorpe and its wildflower heritage.
